Three of these boys work in Springstein Mills, weaving. From left to right are: Malcolm Rogers, Ben Deaton (12 years old), John Lewis (12 years old). The fourth boy is unidentified. Deaton maked a dollar a day in pay (about $25 in modern terms) for running 6 looms.
